Wetenschappelijk onderzoek, het ontdekken van nieuwe behandelmethoden en daarmee het vergroten van de kans op herstel, is een belangrijk onderdeel van Synaeda.

Binnen onze teams zijn verschillende wetenschappers actief, zij doen in samenwerking met onder andere Brainclinics wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Brainbased therapy, oftewel therapie gebasseerd op de werking van het brein van de specifieke patiënt, wint steeds meer terrein. Synaeda loopt voorop als het gaat om onderzoek naar en het toepassen van deze therapieën. 

Onze onderzoeken

Binnen Synaeda lopen twee grote onderzoeksprojecten en een aantal aanvullende onderzoeken.

Met een hersenmeting proberen we de behandeling van depressie te verbeteren. Omdat ons onderzoek laat zien dat een EEG-meting helpt om depressieklachten aan te pakken bij meer mensen, bieden we dit aan wanneer er een depressie wordt gesteld (locaties Fonteinland, Drachten en Heerenveen).

Daarnaast proberen we de innovatieve behandeling rTMS bij depressie (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation) beter toe te passen door te kijken welke vorm van rTMS past bij welke patiënt.
